Installing prefinished flooring is usually a quick process and can usually be completed in one session. Generally, choosing prefinished flooring for a commercial project is more affordable than unfinished because there is zero color customization and a simpler installation.

Our customers can walk on it immediately after installation. When the floor is installed, there aren’t any additional steps. Customers can begin moving their furniture back in immediately and not be delayed any further.

Also, when a customer chooses prefinished flooring they already know exactly what their floor will look like before its installed.

  • Engineered

These floors are produced by laminating several hardwood plies together to form the planks. Most engineered hardwood floors can be glued–down, stapled–down or placed over a variety of subfloors including wood, dry concrete slabs and some types of existing flooring.

Engineered hardwood floors have cross–ply construction which reduces the expansion/contraction of planks caused by variations in humidity and allows these floors to be installed on any level in the home. Prefinished floors are simpler and can be installed and completed generally on the same day.

Engineered wood is designed with multiple layers of different wood veneer, the grains of each layer is placed in different directions. The different layers are engineered to endure different climates. Engineered wood can be installed in above or below ground level.

  • Solid

Solid hardwood flooring is one prefinished solid piece of wood. Because hardwood floors are more susceptible to humidity and temperature changes than engineered wood floors they are installed above grade over approved wooden subfloors and must be nailed or stapled down.

Unfinished hardwood floors can be as simple or as intricate as our customers desire. They often require several days to install, sand, stain, finish and perfect the flooring. Choosing unfinished flooring does take time and effort to install and finish on-site, but the result is personalized. Choosing this option opens up our clients to a greater range of flooring options with multiple colors, stains, finishes and styles.

Unfinished hardwood floors allow someone to create their own unique finish that uniquely suits their space. Going this route enables better uniformity of seal and finish by filling in the empty spaces and cracks formed due to minutely uneven flooring planks.

Sanding has its benefits too. It enables the installer to do borders, inlays, and other customized elements which are not usually available with factory finished flooring.

  • Engineered

One of the biggest advantages of choosing engineered unfinished flooring is the dimensional stability gained. The material maintains its original dimensions when subjected to changes in temperature and humidity. Solid flooring undergoes more expansion and contraction than engineered flooring of the same width. Also, engineered flooring can be glued down instead of nailed down or stapled if desired.

  • Solid

Solid hardwood flooring is hardwood flooring from top to bottom. It feels solid in a way that’s unlike any other wood or wood-type flooring. Also, the classic tongue-and-groove is one hallmark of solid hardwood flooring.

What distinguishes solid hardwood from all other types of flooring is that is can be repeatedly sanded. Unfinished flooring allows a customer to choose the finish treatment rather than having it chosen for them and can generally be recoated and refinished several times. It’s easier to customize and can be made to match existing hardwood flooring or other interior elements.

Solid hardwood flooring will increase the resale value of a home.

Our craftsman at Beckett Bros. have mastered the art of combining contrasting natural hardwoods, stone, marble and metals like brass, copper and aluminum, into an endless variety of collections ranging from decorative medallions and borders to parquet. For sports and school flooring, we offer in-house logo design.

Custom additions, like inlays, borders, designs and patterns can take a client’s flooring and interior design style to the next level.

We can assist with material choices by recommending what types of wood, glass or stone would best fit a customer’s interior decor. Also, we can resize, reshape or change any of the materials in any of our standard products to match any decor.

Customers are not limited to any specific pattern or combinations. Our customers can work with our design team to describe their dream design and our master craftsmen will complete it to detailed specifications.

  • Inlays

Inlays for hardwood floors are a decorative touch to plank flooring, hardwood parquets or even marble floors. Medallions, borders, parquets or panels are fit into the flooring to add some creativity, personalization and style to any room.

Custom decorative inlay design can be as simple as changing out the material that the inlay
is created from- to creating a completely
    new design.

  • Borders

Borders can be used to define a specific area or distinguish a bland wood floor into an upscale, personalized specialty. Hardwood borders are available in pre-made patterns or a custom pattern of a customer’s own design.

  • Designs/Pattern

Parquet flooring provides an eye catching contrast to ordinary hardwood floors. It’s available in many modern patterns as well as timeless, classic styles.

Beckett Bros. is a one stop shop for sports and recreational flooring. Not only are we an exclusive Action retailer, but we partner with Moore-based Custom Floor Design to offer in-house logo design to ensure the finished product is the highest quality functionality and presentation possible.
